Army to begin "Operation Crocodile Smile" in Ogun

To address the security challenges in Ogun State and its environs, the Nigerian Army said on Sunday that it had concluded plans to launch a new security initiative code-named “Operation Crocodile Smile.” The Brigade Commander of the 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala, Abeokuta, Basil Adoke, disclosed this in Abeokuta at a reception organised by the state government as part of activities to mark Nigeria’s 57th independence anniversary. Adoke, who said that the initiative would commence ” in the next couple of days” across the state and its environs, is targeted at miscreants. “We are going to start Operation Crocodile Smile in Ogun and it involves series of actions to step up the tempo targeted at miscreants,” Adoke said. The commander, who allayed fears over the initiative, called on residents to be calm, stressing that some miscreants had been identified and would be flushed out.

Manchester United have announced that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will continue his journey with the club and has signed a one-year contract. He will wear the number 10 shirt. Ibrahimović, 35, made 46 appearances and scored 28 goals for the club during the 2016/17 campaign before suffering a knee injury, which ended his season prematurely. Zlatan has won championships in four different leagues since beginning his professional career with Malmo in 1999. Man Stabbed In The Neck By His Friend In Sokoto Rescued By Doctors (Graphic Pic)

Doctors in Sokoto state have given a middle-aged man a second lease of life after performing a high-risk operation on him. The man was rushed to the hospital after his friend stabbed him in the neck during an argument in Isa local government area in Sokoto state on Thursday, November 9th. The doctors led by Dr. Aminu Garba Alhazzai performed the surgery on the man. He is currently recuperating at the General Hospital in Sokoto.
