Tension as soldiers invade Nnamdi Kanu’s community

Residents of Afaraukwu Ibeku community, in Umuahia North Council of Abia State, the home town of the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, scampered to safety as over 100 fierce-looking soldiers invaded the community.
The IPOB leader’s parents, Eze Okwu and Ugoeze Kanu, will be laid to rest on February 14, 2020, at Afaraukwa.
Eyes witness gathered that the situation caused tension as the residents shut their shops while others fled their homes as the soldiers patrolled the area in their armoured personnel carrier

Army to begin "Operation Crocodile Smile" in Ogun

To address the security challenges in Ogun State and its environs, the Nigerian Army said on Sunday that it had concluded plans to launch a new security initiative code-named “Operation Crocodile Smile.” The Brigade Commander of the 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala, Abeokuta, Basil Adoke, disclosed this in Abeokuta at a reception organised by the state government as part of activities to mark Nigeria’s 57th independence anniversary. Man Stabbed In The Neck By His Friend In Sokoto Rescued By Doctors (Graphic Pic)

Doctors in Sokoto state have given a middle-aged man a second lease of life after performing a high-risk operation on him. The man was rushed to the hospital after his friend stabbed him in the neck during an argument in Isa local government area in Sokoto state on Thursday, November 9th. The doctors led by Dr. Aminu Garba Alhazzai performed the surgery on the man. He is currently recuperating at the General Hospital in Sokoto.
