No Country Enjoys 24hrs Electricity Better Than Nigerians Since Buhari Took Over – Fashola

The Minister of Power, Babatunde Fashola, has revealed that Nigerians now get more volumes of electricity supplied to their homes and offices, insisting that at the moment, most commercial and residential consumers of electricity have packed up their alternative power supply sources for grid electricity, which he claimed has improved tremendously.

According to source, speaking during the August 2018 edition of the monthly power sector operators meeting in Umuahia, Abia State, the minister claimed Nigerians now spend less money to procure alternative power.

“We are on a journey to a destination of promise and eventual prosperity and I use this occasion to salute the efforts and contributions of all those who have brought us this far.

Even if those who were most vocal in condemnation when the situation appeared very dire are now uttering some muted acknowledgment that it has improved.
No Country Enjoy 24hrs Electricity Better Than Nigerians Since Buhari Took Over.

We must continue to draw inspiration from well-meaning and right thinking Nigerians who were gracious enough to publicly acknowledge that: they are saving some money from diesel they used to spend for generators.

They are running their generators for fewer hours; and they are getting comparably more power than before. It is because of those gracious and well-meaning and right thinking Nigerians that we must dig deeper, work harder and be more determined to improve service delivery,” he said.

Why are more people right-handed?

Why are more people right-handed? M.K. Holder is an affiliated scientist in the Center for the Integrative Study of Animal Behavior at Indiana University. She replies: In the 160 years in which "handedness" has been studied we have learned quite a lot, but we still cannot precisely describe what causes humans preferentially to use one hand over the other, or why human populations are biased toward right-hand use rather than left-hand use. Scientists disagree over what percentage of human populations are "right-handed" or "left-handed" because there is no standard, empirical definition for measuring "handedness"; our criteria vary, and are based on various theoretical explanations because we are still trying to understand the mechanisms involved. But I can describe in general terms what we do know. Most humans (say 70 percent to 95 percent) are right-handed, a minority (say 5 percent to 30 percent) are left-handed, and an indeterminate number...

Army to begin "Operation Crocodile Smile" in Ogun

To address the security challenges in Ogun State and its environs, the Nigerian Army said on Sunday that it had concluded plans to launch a new security initiative code-named “Operation Crocodile Smile.” The Brigade Commander of the 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala, Abeokuta, Basil Adoke, disclosed this in Abeokuta at a reception organised by the state government as part of activities to mark Nigeria’s 57th independence anniversary. Adoke, who said that the initiative would commence ” in the next couple of days” across the state and its environs, is targeted at miscreants. “We are going to start Operation Crocodile Smile in Ogun and it involves series of actions to step up the tempo targeted at miscreants,” Adoke said. The commander, who allayed fears over the initiative, called on residents to be calm, stressing that some miscreants had been identified and would be flushed out.
