Senator spends new year day eating with prisoners

Controversial Senator representing Adamawa north in the senate, Elisha Abbo spent 2020 New Year’s Day with inmates of the Nigerian Correctional Service in Yola, Adamawa. The senator, while sharing food with hundreds of inmates, condemned the fact that awaiting trial inmates had to wait for so long in prison for trial as a result of slow judicial process. He said the inmates must not be neglected because they are still human beings who were “unfortunate of being where they are today”. Mr Abbo added that he has made plans to secure freedom for some inmates by paying the fines of those who haven’t been able to pay their fines.

5-Year-Old Girl Raped By A 35-Year-Old Man In An Uncompleted Building (Photos)

A 35-year-old man has defiled a five-year-old girl at the premises of the Breman Brakwa Presbyterian Junior School in Ghana which is currently under renovation. The suspect under the pretext of being a stranger, asked the victim to escort him to the school because he did not know there. Upon reaching the school the suspect forcefully had sex with the victim. Narrating the incident to Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, it was said that the suspect took to his heels and left the victim at the scene after his shameful act. The victim later left the scene to the house and narrated her ordeal to the mother who also reported to the police. The victim is currently on admission at the Breman Brakwa Hospital.
